Galaxy SC, also known as Hawthorne Galaxy SC, is a professional sports club based in Xanneria.
History[edit]
While the actual sports club was founded in 1948, The footballing side of the Galaxy Sports Club, did not form till 1972. In 1972 Galaxy SC member, the actor Maxwell Hayes and retired Hawthore Dukes baseball star, Bruce Pepitone formed a soccer team with the help of the pre-existing sports club as a partner. The team was able to take over a spot in the West Xanneria Footballing Association. Galaxy was able to take over the spot that Blue Valley FC merged with the Rodgersdale Silvers to form Hawthorne United. A merger that took place in 1972. Eight years later the Western Xanneria FA, merged into the Football League of Xanneria with the WXFA stating the merger was due "any day now" and made reference to the face "advancements in travel have allowed for a more united Xannerian league, than ever before. The WXFA eventually became League V and the Hawthorne teams made rapid advancements up the ladder, with the three teams regularly competing in FLOX Omega Division. Galaxy's advancement up the latter was more rapid than the other two Hawthorne teams. THis is in large part was due to the
Rivalries[edit]
Initially it was thought that the new Hawthorne United and Galaxy SC teams would become instant rivals, Galaxy's biggest rival turned out to be the Hawthorne Kickers. Almost instantly the "Movie Star Jet Set" crowd that flocked to local connections Hayes and Pepitone had to local businesses who would be able to bankroll enough money for the team to retain local college talent rather than having them move out east to FLOX. Teams such as the Kickers and even eastern teams such as East Rowe FC and Union Suderland were notoriously snippy towards the new Galaxy team.
