Shearwater FC is a professional football club playing in the first division of the Kelssek Football League. It takes its name from the Shearwater district of Breton, where it was founded as a sports club for members of the Kelssek Navy. While no longer officially linked to the armed forces, the club's badge references this heritage in its resemblance to a ship's badge. The club's stadium is now located across Breton Harbour from the Shearwater naval base adjacent to Breton's central business district in a redeveloped docklands area.
Shearwater's triumph in the Champions League 11 final made it the first Kelssek club to win a major international trophy. This followed its first KFL title win in thirty years coming in the first season under manager Olaf Jurtanen. The managerial change that heralded Jurtanen's arrival was widely seen as a risky move in replacing Ryan Potter, who had brought the club consistently into the top four but had failed to win the title or make progress in the Patriotes Cup in his six years at the club.
Notable players developed at Shearwater include Kelssek internationals Shaheen Taleb and Damien Halliger.

Notable former players[edit]
Coretta Corcrain - Right midfielder who captained the club for two years in the mid-60s.
Tomasz Janaczek - Retired at age 40 after backstopping the club to the KFL70 title and winning the Champions League. Was also Delaclava's number two goalkeeper during his career.
Shaheen Taleb - Cool-headed attacker who is first-choice penalty taker for Kelssek. Moved on to Aries Chariots in Nephara.- Damien Halliger - Stalwart centre-back for the national team, transferred to Eura's Holdenburg City.
Tara Kreidel - Arguably the club's greatest player, the defensive backbone of the team that won two league titles, the Patriotes Cup, and the Champions League.
Brion Steinno - The other player that comes up in the argument about club's greatest, the striker and captain of that same team.
